Okay, so keeping on with the Nagasaki trip, here are a few more photos:
1. Strings of 1000 paper cranes are everywhere. They're pretty cool to see! I remember making cranes for peace when I was little too!
2. The incredible, massive statue calling for a combination of peace and strength to move forward from the war, though the war is not really mentioned at these memorial sites. Just the bomb and that's about it.
3. Wrong turns are fun! This is my Aussie friend Lee posing with the beautiful square of artificial turf that we ran across in out search for the Dutch Glover Garden.
4. Cherry blossoms. They smell as good as they look!
5. The Lantern Festival. Really good food, and really beautiful lanterns everywhere! Whee!
